Extravaganza 2008

Extravaganza is a competition between the houses. This year the Year 13 students decided on each house singing a New Zealand song, dressed up to reflect the song and actions to go with it and choreographing a dance from a selected era. As well as this each house could contribute 3 pieces of art for auction and use a student to model a piece of wearable art that reflects what fashions may be like in 2020.

Once a week the houses got together and practised. The competitiveness between the houses was fierce.

Extravaganza gives the students the opportunity to experience singing with a group and being part of a dance. This competition shows the many talents of a great number of students and gives leaderships skills to others.

On the night when each house performed it was so obvious that all students were thoroughly enjoying themselves. Comments from the audience endorsed that.
